Youth & Families.
Young people are an essential part of our mission. We want space for their perspectives without asking them to surrender their privacy or safety.
What young people can do now
Everyone may explore the exhibition and read the public Community Healing Board archive without creating an account. Adults and teenagers ages 13–17 may join moderated written comments. Teens must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use FastComments. The group webcam is for adults 18+ and is not yet active.
Teens 13–17: written participation with permission
Teen perspectives belong here. If you are 13–17, speak with your parent or legal guardian before posting. They should review the Community Guidelines, Privacy Notice, and FastComments Terms. When you select your age on the Community Healing Board page, you will confirm that permission and agree to the rules before the comment service opens.
The permission acknowledgment is self-declared; it does not verify a guardian's identity. Do not send us a child's ID, birth certificate, school, or health records. Use a nickname rather than your full name, and avoid sharing your school, location, contact information, or personal medical or legal history. Comments may appear publicly right away and can be copied or shared by others, even if later removed.
Webcam conversations remain 18+. Minors cannot enter live group video, even with guardian permission. No private video chats are offered through this website.
Family members may discuss the artwork together offline. A parent or guardian may submit a younger child's general non-identifying reflection from their own account where permitted; that does not create an account for the child.
Visitors younger than 13
Children under 13 may explore the public website and read public discussions, but they cannot directly register with or post to FastComments through our site. This is because the commenting service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and special privacy protections may apply. Parents may share a general non-identifying idea from their own adult accounts when appropriate. Video is adults-only.
Guidance for parents and guardians
Discuss what is public, encourage a nickname, and remind your teen not to share identifying details or another person's confidential story. Public written conversations are intended to remain visible, though content may be removed for privacy, safety, or legal reasons. Ordinary comments and replies may appear publicly immediately; automated spam screening and community reporting are used instead of reviewing every post beforehand. Parents can report concerns or request removal.
FastComments states that users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission. This site asks 13–17-year-olds to acknowledge that permission before opening the comment form; it is not an identity-verification service. Parents are encouraged to participate in the decision and to review what a teen plans to share. Do not email youth identity documents, birthdays, school information, or health records to the project.
Lost and Found is an art and public-dialogue project, not counseling, childcare, or youth supervision. The organizers still have responsibilities to moderate and respond to safety concerns.
What this community is—and is not
The Community Healing Board is an art and public-discussion project, not a licensed counseling, therapy, substance-use treatment, childcare, youth supervision, or crisis-response practice. It does not provide professional care and does not create a counselor–client relationship. Young people should not be asked to disclose private details or trauma. Please review the Scope & Safety Notice and contact a qualified professional for individual care.
