The Community Healing Board is a public arts discussion forum, not a licensed counseling, treatment, or medical service. No clinical relationship or professional confidentiality is created by participating. Comments and photographs may be visible to other visitors, stored by the discussion provider, or copied after publication. Do not post health records, personal crises, or identifying details. Photos, contact forms and email updates

Visitors who choose to upload a photo through FastComments make that photo public. Photos can expose locations or other identifying details, including embedded metadata. Upload only images you have the right to share; avoid identifying details about children. Public images and comments may be copied by other visitors even if later removed. FastComments manages storage of uploaded photos according to its own policies.

Our contact and updates forms use Netlify Forms, when enabled, to collect the information you voluntarily submit. We use inquiry details to reply and email addresses from the updates form to prepare occasional project updates. We do not send updates until an email-delivery system is connected. To withdraw a signup or request deletion, email jon.p.saunders84@gmail.com. The updates signup is for adults 18 or older.

Google Analytics may be enabled later to measure aggregate website visits. When configured, analytics is loaded only after a visitor opts in, and you can withdraw consent using the Analytics preferences link.

Who runs the site

Lost and Found: Emerging from the Ink — Youth Collaboration is an independent artist-led project based in Walla Walla, Washington. For privacy questions contact jon.p.saunders84@gmail.com. The exhibition pages are static; written comment services are provided by FastComments through the separate Community Healing Board page. Group video remains inactive.

Information visible to visitors

When the written discussion is used, comments and replies may appear publicly immediately. Public nicknames, dates, and any details voluntarily posted may be visible to others and copied or indexed by third parties. We intend to retain discussions for reflection, subject to valid removal requests, provider controls, and applicable law. Please do not post information that could identify a child, survivor, or other person.

Commenting provider and consent

Our written commenting provider is FastComments. The service may process chosen display names, email or login information, comments, IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers and anti-spam information according to its own policies. This website does not load the posting widget until an eligible visitor chooses to open it. The read-only archive has a separate optional load control.

Visitors aged 13–17 are asked to confirm they have parent or guardian permission before opening the comment form, in accordance with FastComments' published terms. That acknowledgment is not independent guardian identity verification. Adults and teens who accept the rules use the same public, moderated discussion thread. Children under 13 cannot directly submit comments or register through this site.

Optional group video and third-party services

A single optional, hosted adults-only (18+) community group video room is planned. No private video, matching, direct messages, or breakout rooms are offered. Video is not active. When we select a provider, we will identify it, link its privacy terms, and explain accounts, logs, communications processing, reporting, age controls, and data retention before opening.

If and when video is available, camera and microphone use will be optional and require device permission. Lost and Found does not intend to record, transcribe, or publish meetings. Participants must not record, screenshot, livestream, or redistribute other participants' communications without appropriate consent; we cannot prevent unauthorized recording or guarantee confidentiality. Recording laws—including Washington's consent requirements for private communications—may apply.

All group video participants must be adults 18 or older. An adult host must be present whenever the room is open, and the service must enforce age eligibility and provide usable moderation and reporting. A written notice or age checkbox on the website alone does not authenticate someone's age. No minor may join the webcam room, even if accompanied by an adult.

Youth and parent or guardian permission

All ages may browse public pages and read public written discussions. Adults 18+ may use written posting after acknowledging the site rules. Teens ages 13–17 may use written posting only with parent or legal guardian permission, and must acknowledge that permission and the site's rules before loading the comment widget. FastComments requires permission for users under 18. This site does not independently verify guardian identity or collect youth identity documents.

Children under 13 cannot directly use the comment system. A parent or guardian may share general non-identifying reflections from their own adult account where permitted. The optional live webcam remains adults-only 18+ and is not active. Do not send a child's ID, birth date, school records, medical records or other sensitive personal details to the project.

Health and sensitive information

The exhibition and discussion touch on recovery, mental health, trauma, and reentry, which can involve highly sensitive information. Do not share medical diagnoses, treatment records, precise locations, or other identifiable health details about yourself or another person. Washington privacy laws may apply to any health-related data that is collected or processed. Safety-related reports should contain the minimum information necessary.

Retention, removal and your choices

The project intends to preserve public written discussions, without automatic monthly deletion. We may remove or redact content for safety, privacy, legal or platform reasons, and respond to valid access/deletion requests under applicable law. Third-party caches and screenshots may remain after a post is removed from our site. Contact the project email with a link to the content and the minimum details needed to locate it. FastComments may also provide comment deletion or account controls under its own terms.

Security and changes

Website hosting and FastComments may maintain access, moderation, or security logs. Lost and Found does not sell visitor-submitted discussion content. We take steps to reduce risk, but cannot guarantee absolute security or that third parties will not copy public comments. FastComments processes data under its own privacy policy. We will update these notices if our services or policies change. The video room remains inactive pending separate provider and safety setup.
