Community Guidelines.
A welcoming public forum should allow honest disagreement and real reflection. We draw the line at conduct that puts people at risk—not at unpopular opinions.
Community art, not licensed treatment
The Community Healing Board is a public arts and peer-dialogue forum, not a licensed professional practice. The project does not offer clinical counseling, therapy, medical advice, substance-use treatment, diagnoses, individualized treatment plans, case management, or emergency services. Posts are the views and experiences of their authors and do not create a professional or confidential counseling relationship.
Participation is voluntary. The board is public and is not monitored continuously. Do not share sensitive information or seek emergency help here. Read the Scope & Safety Notice; for danger call 911, or call/text 988 for U.S. crisis support.
Who is welcome
Everyone may read the exhibition and public conversation archive. Adults 18+ may join moderated written conversations after reviewing the rules. Teenagers ages 13–17 may also post written comments and replies only with a parent or guardian's permission; they confirm that permission before opening FastComments. This statement is self-declared, not independently verified by the website. Children under 13 cannot directly submit comments or register through FastComments. Parents may share a young child's general, non-identifying ideas from the parent's own account where permitted.
Live group webcam conversations are adults 18+ only—even if a minor has parental permission or is accompanied. Video service is not yet active. This project is not a childcare, youth supervision, or counseling service.
Open debate, clear boundaries
We welcome criticism of the project, differing political or religious views, criticism of institutions, frank discussion of incarceration, and challenging questions. We do not remove comments simply because they are unpopular or disagree with the organizers.
We remove or restrict targeted harassment, threats, intimidation, exploitation or grooming, sexual content involving minors, hate-based targeting or recruitment, unlawful content, malicious links, impersonation, repeated spam, and identifiable private information. Discussion of hateful history or symbols for criticism, analysis, or education is permitted.
Respect privacy
Use a nickname if you want. Never post someone else’s name, contact details, school, exact location, photo, case information, treatment records, or abuse history without appropriate authorization. Do not solicit personal contact with children or encourage visitors to move to unmonitored private channels. Avoid graphic disclosures that could harm you or others later.
Photo sharing
Visitors may add their own photographs to a public comment using the FastComments image tool. Photographs do not require individual moderator pre-approval, but automated service-level checks may still apply. Do not upload intimate images, photographs of children without permission, private documents, identifying information, copyrighted material without permission, threats, or exploitation. Report problems to the site contact. We may remove uploads that violate these rules.
Written comments and archives
Ordinary comments, photos and replies may be published immediately, without individual pre-approval. Automated spam screening and community reports help identify material for review. The organizers may hide or remove threats, harassment, exploitation, private identifying information, spam, or other content that violates these rules. These actions focus on safety and privacy rather than unpopular viewpoints or respectful disagreement. Visitors may report content or request review or removal. Public written discussions are intended to remain visible for future reflection rather than be deleted on a monthly schedule, but no post is guaranteed to remain forever.
Optional drop-in group video: what to say and do
Live video is optional and exclusively for adults 18+. No appointments. Only one hosted group room is planned, with no one-to-one calls, random matching, private messages, or breakout rooms. Adults may listen, speak, use an appropriate display name, leave at any time, and keep camera and microphone off.
Do: speak respectfully, engage in honest debate, listen, protect your privacy, use a neutral background, and alert the host when something is unsafe.
Do not: threaten or harass, display hate-based intimidation, solicit contact with minors, show nudity or explicit material, share private contact information or confidential documents, impersonate others, invite participants into private chats, or screen-share without host permission. Do not record, screenshot, livestream, or redistribute another person's image, voice, or remarks without applicable consent.
A designated adult host must be present while a group room is open. The host can mute, remove, report, pause or close the session. The room will close if a host is unavailable. Safety interventions focus on conduct, not disagreement or unpopular views.
No minors on webcam: all video users must be 18 or older, whether or not a parent or guardian accompanies them. Written discussions remain the youth-inclusive option once their distinct safeguards are ready.
Group calls are visible to everyone present; participants should not expect confidentiality. Lost and Found does not plan to record calls, but cannot guarantee participants will follow the no-recording rule. See the Privacy Notice.
Help, reporting, and moderation
The site is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency or crisis response service. If someone is in immediate danger in the U.S., call 911; call or text 988 for crisis support. Report safety or privacy concerns to our moderator. Include the public link and a short description, not sensitive evidence by ordinary email. We may close a room or restrict users if needed for safety or legal compliance. Reconsideration requests are welcome.
Participation, responsibility and limitations
You are responsible for your own words and choices. The project does not endorse statements made by participants. Community dialogue is not professional care, case management, a confidential service, or an assurance of personal safety. Participation is optional; leave the room or report a concern if you feel unsafe.
Organizers may enforce these rules, report serious abuse and comply with lawful requests. These rules are intended to reduce risks and establish expectations; they do not create immunity from legal claims, waive statutory rights, or replace applicable child-protection, privacy, or consent laws. We may update them as services are configured.
Ownership and copyright
Share your own work or content you are authorized to publish. Do not impersonate others, distribute private materials, violate copyright, or use the discussion to solicit money or advertise. Public comments represent their authors, not necessarily this project.
